Broken Doors

17/06/2011 § 2 Comments

A broken door opens,
Swinging wide, unabated.
A new love awaits,
Hotly, sharply debated

A yes means intrusion;
Enter new doubts and fears.
A no means denying
an entrance to new cheers.

What to do when there’s knocking,
Sharp knocking at the door?
Should I open it for new love
Or leave it closed forevermore?
